Since its creation, the Africa Political Outlook (APO) has established itself as a key institutional platform, with each edition marking a decisive step in the dialogue on the future of governance in Africa and its relations with the world.
The inaugural edition of 2023 laid a solid foundation, bringing together over 100 decision-makers from 20 countries. Attended by heads of government and ministers, the debates initiated a call for the reinvention of the social contract and democratic renewal, establishing the APO as a crucible of collective intelligence for a new pact of African governance.
In 2024, the summit confirmed its influence by bringing together over 300 political leaders, diplomats and experts from more than 40 countries, under the theme "Africa at a Crossroads". This year's edition deepened reflections on critical issues such as the reform of multilateralism, continental sovereignty and the new dynamics of the Europe-Africa partnership. The participation of major institutions such as the European Union and the Arab Bank for Development in Africa (BADEA) attested to its global reach.
